Description
Juniper Hills, California is an unincorporated town located at elevation 4, 256 in beautiful foothills of northern slope San Gabriel Mountains, facing the Antelope Valley. The community is nestled between Littlerock and Pearblossom, occupying a smallish section of each and a swath of unincorporated territory in between. This placid area was named for the areas juniper trees. It adjoins the Devil's Punchbowl, a county park.
Devil's Punchbowl Natural Area
The Punchbowl is one of the most spectacular geologic formations in California. The 1,310-acre Park consists of rugged wilderness rock formations along the San Andreas Fault on the north slope of the San Gabriel Mountains. The terrain climbs from 4,200 feet to 6,500 feet in elevation, with natural plant and animal communities ranging from desert scrub to pine forests. A seasonal stream runs through the Park.
