Description
Quartz Hill is located in the High Desert of California north of the Los Angeles area. This small town is linked geographically to the nearby communities of Palmale and Lancaster.

History

As recently as the 1970's the town was largely agricultural, with cash crops of almonds, alfalfa, and turkeys. The past decades have seen a shift towards residential development of the area.
